Preliminary phase:
Client Registration and Questionnaire
In the first phase of the Tricotest, we create the customer’s personal profile, into which we save all the data collected over the course of treatment. Information about client’s lifestyle, habits, and routine are entered into the profile to be referenced during analysis.
1st Step:
Thinning Scale – self Evaluation + Initial state
During the consultation, we invite the client to identify their current scalp or hair condition using our analysis chart and to clearly communicate their goals for treatment.
Understanding how the client perceives their hair and scalp health, along with their expectations and desired outcome, allows us to create a personalized treatment strategy. This step is essential for delivering the best results and long-term satisfaction with the CRLab trichological program.
2nd Step:
Examination and Analysis by Trichologist
As part of the evaluation, we gather detailed information on the overall health of your scalp and hair to identify signs of hair thinning, shedding, or imbalance. One of the key diagnostic steps is the hair pull test, a simple and painless exam where the trichologist gently slides their fingers through the hair and lightly pulls. The number of hairs that shed provides valuable insight into the strength of the follicles and potential hair loss conditions.
Your results are then displayed on a radar chart, which visually represents the severity of findings from the physical examination. The shape of the graph changes based on your scalp condition, helping us accurately diagnose issues and personalize your CRLab treatment plan.
3rd Step:
Skin Diagnostic – sebum and hydration measuring
Our scalp skin diagnostic allows the technician to accurately measure skin hydration and sebum production on the scalp. This test is quick, non-invasive, and highly efficient, enabling multiple measurements for consistent and reliable results.

200X magnification: Reveals follicle health and sebaceous (oil) production in high detail
50X magnification: Analyzes the hair shaft and identifies signs of miniaturization or thinning
10X magnification: Provides panoramic front and back images to document and track treatment progress over time
In addition, the blue light emission mode helps us clearly identify the presence of sebum within the follicles, delivering high-resolution images with adjustable focus for even greater diagnostic accuracy.
