How does a scalp analysis work?
At Precision Beauty Creations, our trichology experts specialize in creating personalized solutions for hair and scalp health. During your consultation, our trichologist will identify the cause of your condition through a detailed visual and micro-camera examination. This thorough assessment ensures we understand your unique hair and scalp profile.
Based on the results, our specialist will design a customized treatment plan to meet your needs. Most plans include a combination of:

For accurate results, our trichologist needs to examine your scalp in its natural state. Please avoid washing your hair for 24 to 48 hours before your consultation. This helps us assess any underlying scalp issues without interference.
The Consultation
The first step is to book a consultation with our trichology practitioner Karlee Hehr. We offer two forms of initial consult; a 15 minute complimentary phone or in person meeting, to discuss your goals and current scalp and hair issues, and a more in-depth, in person meeting where the practitioner will perform a hair and scalp analysis, evaluate your condition and develop your custom treatment plan.
During your full assessment at our Drumheller or Calgary trichology centre, our certified trichology practitioner will determine the cause of your condition by performing a thorough visual, micro-camera (or microscopic) examination. After a robust testing process, your trichology specialist will examine the results and devise a custom treatment plan for your specific hair and scalp needs. In most cases your treatment process can include topical treatments, light therapy performed in-clinic as well as at-home, ultrasound therapy, scalp spa sessions, and/or other remedies.
The key to all treatment plans is consistency. No matter what anyone says, there is no “quick fix” to hair loss. Preventing hair loss and restoring bio hair requires targeted, consistent treatments for optimal results.
Following the assessment
After your trichology consultation, we’ll provide a personalized treatment plan tailored to your hair and scalp needs. Treatments begin by cleansing the scalp of build-up, including scales and oils, so that new, stronger hair is able to grow through. This initial phase may cause temporary shedding, which makes way for new, full, and healthy hair growth.
The entire process, from your initial consultation to the final treatment, can take up to one year. Here’s what to expect:
• Months 1-2: You may notice an increase in shedding and the early growth of new, healthy hair.
• Months 4-6: Significant improvement as new hair follicles grow stronger and fuller.
• Months 10-12: Full results with thicker hair and a reduction or cessation of hair loss.
